This first visit includes an assessment and 90 min treatment time/hands on massage time.

IMPORTANT NOTE: Please wear (or bring) active wear that's comfortable and easy to move in. I frequently do a combo session (massage on bare skin + clothed treatment work). Each treatment session is customized to each client and their goals.

Rate is all inclusive with no expectation of tipping and includes 90 minutes of hands on/massage + intake time + time to dress and check out. Please allow up to 1 hr, 45 min for total appointment time.

Traditional Lomilomi Massage
This Lomilomi lineage comes from Hawaii Island, commonly referred to as "The Big Island” and uses anatomically specifically focused techniques done with a modest amount of lubricant, and even sometimes done without lubricant and with the client clothed. It does NOT use long flowing strokes and abundant use of oil that many people associate with lomilomi.

This is spiritually grounded, clinically and structurally oriented massage done with intention to relieve pain and improve movement. Great for targeted treatment to relieve pain, rehabilitate injuries and increase mobility. Problem-solving, structure specific, solution-oriented bodywork that can also be incredibly relaxing and balancing for mind, body and spirit.

An intuitive nurturing touch is used that is anatomically specific, deep and effective, yet soft and gentle. This massage will include compressions, traction, tapotment, movement/stretching and joint mobilization. Warm bamboo/stones and Instrument Assisted Tissue Mobilization may be incorporated when appropriate--all within the lomilomi framework.

Traditional Lomilomi is grounded in Indigenous Hawaiian culture and spirituality and is prayerful work. Pule (Hawaiian blessing in the spirit of Aloha) is offered at the beginning of each session. This can be said out loud or silently. You may opt out of the blessing if that is your preference.
