Lomilomi Introduction This hands-on class introduces several Lomilomi techniques through guided practice and demonstration, along with an overview of both foundational and more advanced work. Spiritual and cultural aspects are included alongside hands-on learning. By the end of this one-day class, participants will be able to offer a simple Lomilomi session focused on the back of the body with the client prone. Emphasis is placed on experiencing the deep yet gentle quality of touch characteristic of this work, and on understanding how the quality of touch supports therapeutic and clinical outcomes. This class is appropriate for those exploring whether they’d like to study Lomilomi further, as well as for those looking to bring new insights into the massage and bodywork practice they already offer. Class size is intentionally limited to 4 participants to support individualized instruction and hands-on feedback. This is a Big Island therapeutic style of Lomilomi, emphasizing deep yet gentle touch, clinical application, and problem-solving bodywork.
